NHIC Starts Seha Awareness Campaign Sunday

Doha, July 05 (QNA) - National Health Insurance Company (NHIC) starts here on Sunday its nationwide awareness campaign on Seha the national health insurance scheme. The objective is to ensure Qatari nationals are familiar with the benefits Seha provides, the company said Saturday in a media statement. Specifically targeted at areas outside Doha, the roadshow aims at giving residents an opportunity to interact with Seha teams and learn more about how to access healthcare services under the scheme. The company is setting up information booths at Al Meera Supermarket outlets in the four locations between July 6 and 17 July as follows: in Gharafat Al Rayan from July 6 to 8; in Azghwaya from July 9 to 11; in Legtaifiya from July 12 to 14 and in Abu Nakhla from July 15 to 17. The booths will be operational from 7pm to 1am to tie in with the holy month of Ramadan. NHIC Acting CEO Dr Faleh Mohamed Ali said, "As a national initiative, it is important for Seha to reach out to all Qatari nationals wherever they live and to ensure the public not only knows about the health insurance scheme but also how to use it. "Our duty is to reach people of all ages and backgrounds across the country. We are deploying a wide range of communications channels to deliver all information on Seha." In addition to visiting the Seha booths in the Al Meera Supermarkets, Qatari nationals can also access information and updates about the scheme and the Seha provider network at www.seha.qa and through social media at facebook.com/SehaQatar and twitter.com/SehaQatar.
