Niger President Receives Advisor at Saudi Royal Court Ahmad Qattan

Niamey, February 22, 2022, SPA -- President Mohamed Bazoum of the Republic of Niger in the presidential palace in Niamey today received Advisor at Saudi Royal Court Ahmad bin Abdulaziz Qattan and his accompanying delegation. During the meeting, Qattan conveyed the greetings of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, while the Niger president sent his greetings and appreciation to Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince, and his good wishes to the people of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia of further development and prosperity, stressing that his country stands with Saudi Arabia towards various issues aiming at realizing peace and security in Africa. President Bazoum voiced his country’s support to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s bid to host EXPO 2030 in Riyadh, where Qattan highly appreciated this positive position. During discussions, both sides went over bilateral relations and means to develop them in all fields. Following the discussions, Chief of the Niger President’s Office Ibrahim Abani made a statement to the media, during which he expressed happiness for the level of relations between the two countries in various fields and announced Niger’s support to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s bid to host EXPO 2030 through the elections slated for 2023. For his part, Qattan voiced the gratitude and appreciation of the government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to this support that is based on the close relations between the two countries. --SPA
