NIHR, Bahrain MS Patients Society sign MoU

Manama, Apr. 20. (BNA) The National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR) signed here today a memorandum of understanding MoU with the Bahrain multiple sclerosis (MS) Patients Society. The MoU was signed by the NIHR Secretary-General Dr. Ahmed Abdullah Farhan and the Bahrain MS Patients Society's Board Chairman Abdulla Bucheeri in the presence of NIHR's Director of Legal Affairs Yasser Ghanim Shaheen, NIHR's Communication Director Nawar Abdulla Al-Mutawa and Bahrain MS Patients Society's Board Member and Head of the Social Committee Nahla Abu Al Fateh. NIHR Secretary-General expressed his appreciation for the efforts undertaken by Bahrain MS patients Society in the service, follow-up and support of patients to achieve the Society's noble goals, stressing that NIHR will not hesitate to provide all support to the Society to promote those noble goals, especially those related to health right and to receive health services. Bahrain MS Patients Society's Chairman praised NIHR's initiatives in providing support, care and follow-up for MS patients, which, he said, will contribute to serving this category. This MoU represents the framework that regulates the bonds of mutual coordination and cooperation between NIHR and the Bahrain MS patients Society in terms of establishing the principles of human rights, in general, and the health right, in particular. MS is a chronic autoimmune disease that attacks the central nervous system. It can cause numbness, paralysis and even loss of vision. SM W H Q
