NIHR holds lecture on sustainable development

Manama, Aug. 10 (BNA): Chairperson of the National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR), Maria Khoury, has delivered a lecture entitled «Human Rights and Sustainable Development» at the headquarters of the Judicial and Legal Studies Institute (JLSI). The lecture is within the fourth package of the “My Rights 2” programme, which is organised by the NIHR in partnership with the Supreme Council for Women (SCW), Bahrain Institute for Political Development (BIPD) and Judicial and Legal Studies Institute from April to September this year. The lecture defined the concept of sustainable development and its 17 goals, as well as the role of the NIHR in following up on the efforts to achieve such goals.
