Ninety-one more Thais return from Egypt

BANGKOK, August 23 (TNA) - The Ministry of Foreign Affairs says that 91 more Thai nationals are returning from political violence-plagued Egypt and some of them want to, again, fly to the northeastern African country to resume their study or work after peace is stored there. Nuttavudh Photisaro, Deputy Permanent Secretary for Foreign Affairs, told journalists on Friday that the 91 additional Thai people will return home over the next two days, after 332 Thai evacuees from Egypt arrived at Bangkok's Don Mueang Airport on Friday morning, at 8:55am. Nuttavudh elaborated that 11 of the 91 Thais are scheduled to depart aboard the Flight MS960 of Egypt Air from Cairo at 11:40pm on August 23 (local time) and arrive in Thailand at 1:50pm on August 24, while the remaining 80 others are scheduled to leave Cairo on the Flight SQ972 of Singapore Airlines at 10:40am on August 24 (local time) and arrive in Thailand at 11:05am on August 25, with both flights to land at the Suvarnabhumi International Airport. According to the senior official, about 300 Thai people remain in Egypt, about half of them are workers and the rest are students, who have all not expressed their intention to return home. (TNA)
