No Cabinet reshuffle, says ruling Pheu Thai Party

BANGKOK, June 22 (TNA) - The ruling Pheu Thai Party has reiterated that there will be neither Cabinet reshuffle, nor a Parliament dissolution for the time being. Amid planned anti-government rallies and dissatisfaction among farmers over a government decision to cut paddy prices under the government-sponsored pledging programme, Pheu Thai Party Deputy Spokesman Anusorn Iam-sa-ard told reporters on Saturday that the government would not reshuffle the Cabinet for just leaving its rice pledging scheme problem and it is also unnecessary for dissolving the House of Representatives now because people may be unhappy with local politics and reluctant to cast their votes in the next general election. According to the deputy spokesman, if there was any Cabinet reshuffle, Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra would choose only appropriate persons who could solve the country’s problems to serve the people. The deputy spokesman made the remarks, as white-mask protesters announced that they will, again, launch anti-government rallies in Bangkok, upcountry and in some foreign countries on June 23. (TNA)
