No UMNO International Forum This Year - UMNO Executive Secretary

KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 25 (Bernama) -- The UMNO International Forum, which is convened during the party general assembly annually, will not be held this year as Malaysia had just hosted the ASEAN Summit, said UMNO executive secretary Ab Rauf Yusoh. The forum would be pushed forward to next year, he added. "Otherwise, the agenda (of the general assembly) will be same as in previous years," he told reporters when approached at the 'Empowering the Agenda of the Ummah Convention 2015' at the Putra World Trade Centre here. Ab Rauf said preparations were more than 50 per cent complete for the general assembly scheduled from Dec 8 to 12. He also said that a bigger space had been set aside for the stalls this year at the request of traders. Ab Rauf said more than 300 stalls for the sale of various goods would be offered, with two levels used for the purpose. The United Malays National Organisation (UMNO) is Malaysia's largest political party, a founding member of the Barisan Nasional (BN) coalition. -- BERNAMA
