Nobakht hails Air Force advances effective for national defense

Tehran, March 8, IRNA – Vice-President for Planning and Strategic Supervision Mohammad-Baqer Nobakht said Sunday that the advances the Air Force has made along with other armed forces, are effective for national defense. Speaking to reporters on the sidelines of a visit to Be'sat hospital affiliated to Air Force, Nobakht said that no one will forget the efforts made by Air Force personnel during the eight-year Iraqi-imposed war 1980-1988. In the early days of the imposed war, when other armed forces were not organized yet to defend the country, the main burden of repulsing the Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein's invasion on Iran fell on brave shoulders of the Air Force, Nobakht said.
