Noontime outdoor work ban begins Wednesday

Manama, June 30 (BNA): The official ban on noontime outdoor work between 12:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. in the months of July and August begins on Wednesday. The ban is part of Bahrain's efforts to boost vocational safety and workers' health. The Ministry of Labour urged all the relevant establishments that have worksites exposed to sunrays to comply with the above edict to protect their own workers against summertime diseases and potential injuries, including the arrangement of their working hours to ensure smooth workflow in projects and businesses all over the Kingdom's governorates. The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Labour, Sabah Salem Al Dosary, said the ministry has taken all its precautions and finalised its preparations to oversee the enforcement of Edict 3/2013 regarding the official ban on noontime outdoor work.
