Dr. Suwannachai said he has already visited Lampang to inspect the province's readiness for the evaluation by WHO and FAO and its role as a world food safety model. According to the senior official, Lampang is outstanding for organic vegetables which are also supplied to local hospitals and he plans to promote its quality vegetables in a bid to promote the northern Thai province as a world food safety model. The senior official noted that Lampang's food safety standard and safe food at local hospitals will be introduced to other Thai provinces to improve the services of hospitals nationwide and develop Thailand to be a food safety country.
