Norwegian citizen awarded “Friendship” medal

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Pursuant to a decree of the State Head Ts.Elbegdorj, the “Friendship” medal has been awarded to a Norwegian citizen Ms Oose Sims. The Minister of Foreign Affairs L.Bold granted Thursday the medal Ms Sims, in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Ms Sims has been helping poor children in Mongolia since coming to Mongolia in 1997, and every year she renders financial assistance to 45-50 children from poor families for studying in university and institutes. Moreover, she helped some families to have dwellings and provided women in prison with foods and nutritional products. The “Friendship” medal is awarded to a person who contributed to saving the world peace, developing bilateral friendly relations and cooperation and helping for the country.
