Number of motor vehicles up 91% in 11 years

ANKARA (A.A) - November 27, 2011 - The number of motor vehicles rose by 91 percent and the number of cars was up by 80 percent in Turkey since 2000. According to the data by Turkish Statistical Board, TurkStat, the number of motor vehicles had been 8.3 million in 2000 and the figure reached 15.8 million as of September 2011. The number of cars had been 4.4 million in 2000 and it became 7.9 million as of September 2011.
