Nursery No. 122, Icon Sapling Producer of DPRK

Pyongyang, July 1 (KCNA) -- The Nursery No. 122, run by the Korean People's Army, has turned into a model and standard sapling producer in the DPRK whose cultivation of saplings is put on a scientific, industrial and intensive basis. The nursery consists of several greenhouses based on ultra-modern technology and outdoor cultivation grounds. All devices of its greenhouses are automatically controlled to ensure environmental conditions favorable for sapling growth. And any operation there is conducted on a high-level automatic and mechanized basis. In the outdoor cultivation grounds there are automatic irrigation facilities and sunshade apparatuses for the cultivation of potted saplings. The nursery has an integrated control system and all its production processes ranging from seed selection to sowing and sapling packing are highly automated and streamlined. -0-
