Obama ِAnnounces Expansion Washington's Support To Iraq Within The Military Strategy To Fight The Islamic State (IS)

Washington / NINA / President Barack Obama declared expanding American air strikes against the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria and his country will lead an international coalition to weaken the organization and eliminate it altogether. Obama revealed, in a televised address to the American people, that "four-point plan to fight the (IS) includes sending 475 an additional element of American military forces to train Iraqi forces, and work with Washington's partners to stop the movement of extremist fighters to and from the Middle East, and to expand the air strikes in Iraq and Syria, and supporting Iraqi forces and the Syrian opposition to fight (IS). ". Obama has pledged to "provide support to Iraqi forces through training, equipment and intelligence. Noting that he is sending 25 million dollars in military aid to Iraqi forces and the Peshmerga forces.". He added that "in cooperation with the Iraqi government, we will expand our work beyond the protection of our citizens and our humanitarian missions, and we will target the Islamic state in order to support the Iraqi forces." Obama said that "the campaign against terrorism will be launched in a hard fixed uncompromising in order to hit the organization anywhere through the use of American air power and support its allied forces in the region." Obama in his speech, which coincided with the 13th anniversary of the events 11 of September, said he would not send American military forces to the region to fight (IS). Obama added that "the organization is not an Islamic organization and any other religion in the world does not incite to murder and extremism.". Obama also pledged that "the United States continues to provide humanitarian support for refugees who have been displaced from their places because of the" Islamic state "whether Sunni or Shiites or Christians or any other religious minority" ./ end
