Obama , Cameron Emphasize The Need To Form A Government Represents All Iraqis

Washington / NINA / U.S. President Barack Obama discussed, in a telephone call, with British Prime Minister David Cameron, the situation in both Iraq and Afghanistan as well as Ukraine and the ongoing nuclear talks with Iran. A statement issued by the White House said the two leaders agreed to "work with all parties in Iraq to form an inclusive and a broad government with wide representation can work to promote the interests of all Iraqis." Obama and Cameron called on Iran to take the necessary steps to reassure the international community about the "peaceful nuclear program" and both leaders renewed their commitment to progress toward a permanent agreement. Both leaders stressed that Russia was not making any progress in taking the necessary steps in order to calm the situation, stressing the need that the Western countries to impose tougher sanctions on Russia if "it did not take immediate steps towards calming the situation." Obama and Cameron welcomed the progress made toward resolving the dilemma of presidential elections in Afghanistan and agreed to continue to urge all parties to play a positive and constructive roles lead to a peaceful and democratic transition of power in Afghanistan. / End
