Object Believed To Be MH370 Aircraft Door Found On Reunion Island, Says Sky News

KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 3 (Bernama) -- An object resembling the door of an aircraft was found washed ashore on Reunion Island in the Indian Ocean, Skynews sources said Sunday. According to Sky News' David Bowden, the object was found in a separate location to the earlier discovered flaperon which is currently undergoing tests in France to ascertain if it is from Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370 which vanished in March last year. On Wednesday, several images of a wreckage believed to be the flaperon of a Boeing 777 aircraft on social media gave new hope in the search for the missing aircraft. Airlive.net, a website on aviation industry news and information tweeted a picture of a wreckage and uploaded the status, "Broken piece of wing found on La Réunion Island, could that be the flap of #MH370?" Flight MH370 vanished from the radar about midnight on March 8 last year while flying from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing, while carrying 227 passengers and 12 crew members. On Jan 29, this year, the Malaysian Department of Civil Aviation announced that the disappearance of the aircraft was an accident, based on international aviation rules and that all 239 people on board were deemed to have lost their lives. -- BERNAMA
