Official hails president's executive order on tourism development

Sari, Mazandaran prov, Dec 17, IRNA – Deputy head of the Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Organization Morteza Rahmani Movahhed on Wednesday hailed President Hassan Rouhani's executive order on development of tourism industry. Speaking to reporters, Rahmani Movahhed said that following the ratification of a bill on boosting safety of tourists visiting Iran, the president issued an order eight months ago to explore ways to quickly implement the bill which is of special significance to development of the country's tourism industry. The Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Organization, the ministries of Interior, foreign affairs and intelligence as well as the police will play a key role in the successful implementation of the bill, the official said. He said that with the current resolve and the interaction between the three branches of government, tourism in Iran will undoubtedly witness major progress in the near future. /end
