Official Urges Expansion Of Co-op Between Iraqi, Iranian provinces

Ahvaz, Khuzestan Province, Dec. 16, IRNA - The Governor General of Maysan Province of Iraq Ali Davi on Saturday called for expansion of his province's ties with Khuzestan Province in various fields. He made the remarks in a meeting with Dashte Azadegan Governor Javad Daghlavi at the international border point of Chazzabe. He underlined the need for deepening of cooperation between the two Iranian and Iraqi neighboring provinces in various fields of economy, culture, science and sports. Davi pointed to the two countries' cultural and religious commonalities and called for strengthening of mutual ties in the interests of the two nations./end
