Officials sent to Myanmar to take care of Thai detainees

RANONG, July 13 (TNA) - Thai officials will go to Myanmar's Kawthaung Province to take care of Thai detainees, charged with illegal entry and land encroachment, as Myanmar soldiers reportedly brought all the arrested Thai people to Kawthaung for further detention Friday evening. Colonel Pornsak Poolsawasdi, Commander of the 25th Ad Hoc Infantry Unit of the Royal Thai Army's Thepsatree Task Force, told reporters of the updates, acknowledging that local Thai officials have traveled to Kawthaung daily to gather updated information from Myanmar authorities to prepare proper assistance for the detained Thai nationals.(TNA)
