OIC supports humanitarian aid for Syria

JEDDAH (A.A) – Organization of the Islamic Cooperation (OIC) is pursuing its humanitarian aid for Syrian refugees who had to leave their country due to deteriorating situation each day. OIC stated on Wednesday that talks had been held to organize humanitarian assistance for Syrian refugees during a meeting which was held with Arab League in Cairo. Noting that refugees, who had to take shelter in neighboring countries, had serious problems especially in health matter, OIC said that a meeting would take place in Geneva on March 8 to pursue aid efforts with participation of the UN and Council of Europe. Meanwhile, talks are under way between OIC and Syrian government to open an aid office of OIC in Damascus.
