Oman's Shure Speaker Hails Qatari-Omani Relations

Doha, March 16 (QNA) - HE Speaker of Shura Council of the Sultanate of Oman Khalid bin Hilal Al Mawali highlighted the distinct relations between the State of Qatar and the Sultanate of Oman which are characterized by mutual respect, cooperation and coordination in all issues of interest to both countries and the Arab nations. Speaking to the Qatari daily (Al Sharq), Oman's Speaker praised the wise leaderships of both countries who were keen to strengthening the relations between the two brotherly countries and drew a policy that is based on a number of foundations and principles to deepen the relations and cooperation in all areas and at all levels. He highlighted the active parliamentary cooperation and coordination between Qatar and Oman, as well as the mutual visits, exchange of experiences and information and organization of training programs for the staff of the Qatari and Omani councils. He said that he visited the State of Qatar in January 2013 where an Omani Qatari parliamentary friendship group was formed to further contribute to the development of performance and parliamentary work in both countries.
