Operation to Separate Libyan Siamese Twins Begins

Riyadh, November 14, 2019, SPA -- In implementation of directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, the operation to seperate the Libyan siamese twins (Ahmed and Mohammed) started this morning at King Abdulaziz Medical City in Riyadh, with a 35-member medical and surgical team, led by Advisor to the Royal Court and Supervisor General of King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Rabeeah. The medical team completed the first stage of the operation, anesthesia, and began the second stage, operation. It is expected that the success rate will be 70%, as the operation takes up to 15 hours and is performed through 11 stages. -- SPA
