Our common traits are more than differences, says iranian parliament offici

TEHRAN (A.A) - The head of the National Security and Foreign Policy Commission of Iran's Parliament, Alaeddin Boroujerdi, said Thursday that Iran and Turkey shared more common traits than differences. Speaking to the AA at the Iranian Parliament before his trip to Turkey, Boroujerdi said that Turkey and Iran had common traits in politics, economy, commerce and security fields. Both of our countries are members of the Economic Cooperation Organization and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation. Turkey and Iran can cooperate even more closely in a wider area, Boroujerdi said. "We need to be careful about the great evil United States and the zionist regime so that they do not harm our relations," Boroujerdi said. We are absolutely against U.S. presence and intervention in the region, Boroujerdi said. It would be wrong to think that the U.S. can control Syria, Boroujerdi said. Boroujerdi will be received by Turkish President Abdullah Gul on Thursday.
