OUTSTANDING SCHOLAR SH.BIRA BECOMES HONORED CITIZEN OF UB

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ A Hero of Labor and State Prize Holder Professor Sh.Bira has been bestowed upon a "Honored Citizen of Ulaanbaatar city" title on occasion of the 373rd anniversary of the capital city on Monday. A resolution on it was issued by the Citizens' Representative Khural of Ulaanbaatar last Friday. In addition, the Order of Khangarid was awarded to some foremost people for significant contributions to the urban development. The supreme prize of the city's went to B.Batchluun, a State Honored Medical Doctor and head of the Hospital named after P.I.Shastin; N.Togstsogt, a State Honored Sportsman and Olympic silver medalist; S.Nyam-Ochir, a State Honored Sportsman and Olympic bronze medalist; S.Battsetseg, a State Honored Sportswoman and Olympic bronze medalist; Ch.Buyankhishig, an editor of the Mongolian National Public Radio and Television; Dr N.Purevjav, a dentist; and to D.Chultem, a veteran from the Khan-Uul district. B.Khuder
