Over 1800 foreign short films submitted to Tehran festival

TEHRAN,May 19(MNA) -- The 30th Tehran International Short Film Festival has so far received 1895 submissions from foreign filmmakers, the secretary of the festival announced on Saturday. Most of the submissions have been made by filmmakers from France, Brazil, Germany, England and Spain, Hashem Mirzakhani said in a press release. A sharp rise is expected in the number of submissions as the deadline for application is June 9, he added. The Tehran International Short Film Festival, which is organized annually by the Iranian Young Cinema Society, will be held from October 14 to 20.
