OYU TOLGOI LLC NAMES NEW CEO

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Oyu Tolgoi LLC has appointed Andrew Woodley as its president and chief executive officer, taking over from Craig Kinnell. Mr Kinnell is stepping down from the role for personal reasons, returning to the UK, and will continue working for Rio Tinto. Mr Woodley, who is currently managing director of Rio Tinto’s coal business in Mozambique, will begin his transition to the top job in October, before officially taking over this November 15. Mr Woodley has worked for Rio Tinto for some 18 years and has notably served as executive assistant to the chief executive officer and the chairman. He also worked as a managing director of the company’s coal and aluminum mines. Andrew Woodley had majored in mining, and has a master’s in MBA, and an experience in enterpreneurship and management consulting. He is to come to Ulaanbaatar this October, to settle with his family.
