Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ The Oyu Tolgoi LLC has launched enlisting of Safety, Health, Environmental volunteer staff in scope of its priority of safety and health for the employees. Goal of this initiative is caring about health and safety of employees through their own participation. In another word, this demonstrates that contribution, participation and responsibility of each employee of OT is very important in ensuring overall health, safety operation of the company. Currently, about 100 employees have been enlisted as the volunteer staff and promotes safety, health culture and information sharing among the all employees of the company. Each floor of UB headquarters of OT is manned by volunteer staff in charge of safety evaluator, safety coordinator, safety information officer, volunteer first-aid providers and fire personnel. This way, OT employees are enlisted as safety, health volunteers and contribute to overall health and safety operation of the mining company. This demonstrates commitment of OT in ensuring reliability of safety and health operations and keeping zero-accident environment in the work places and corporate responsibility of the company. “Ensuring the safety and health of all workers is key objectives for OT.
