Pakistani State News Agency MD Greets IRNA Chief

Islamabad, March 6, IRNA – Managing Director of Pakistan’s state news agency greeted Managing Director of Islamic Republic News Agency on assuming the office. MD Associated Press of Pakistan (APP) Khalid Sarwar through a letter conveyed his wishes to MD IRNA Majid Omidi Shahraki. “I avail this opportunity to express my heartiest facilitation on assumption of charge of the coveted position of Managing Director of Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA),” he said in the letter. MD APP said that the Islamic Republic News Agency is a reputed media organization in the entire region, known for professionalism, competence and balanced coverage of national and international events. “I hope that under your able leadership the professional activities of IRNA will get a boost,” he said. Khalid Sarwar said both Iran and Pakistan enjoy closer cultural and political relations which need to be further strengthened in the current international scenario. “Cooperation between the media organizations like IRNA and APP can play a significant role in this process,” he said in the letter.
