Palembang Renovates Tourist Attractions For Asian Games

Palembang, South Sulawesi, April 13 (Antara) - The Palembang city administration in South Sumatra is making every effort to renovate numerous tourist attractions for thousands of Asian Games' guests and participants. Palembang City is now ready to host the international sporting event of the Asian Games in August 2018, and South Sumatra Governor Alex Noerdin has made assurance that the venue and the Light Rail Transit system would be completed on time. "Apart from the athletes who will participate in the sporting event, thousands of visitors from Asian countries will also visit Palembang to witness the games and to visit the tourist attractions here," spokesman of the Palembang city government Harobin Mustafa remarked here on Wednesday. He said that ongoing efforts to ensure good arrangements and effective management were necessary to have a positive impression on the Asian Games' athletes and guests and to provide an opportunity to them to enjoy the tourist attractions in "The Land of Sriwijaya." According to Mustafa, the management and renovation of the tourist attractions have been ongoing since the past few years to attract the Asian Games' guests and athletes.
