KUALA LUMPUR, May 16 (Bernama) - PAS hopes that Islamic countries will not adopt a cold attitude or be cowards regarding the move by the United States to relocate its embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, said its president Hadi Awang.

He reiterated that all Muslims had a responsibility to defend Jerusalem and the fate of Palestinians.

"The US action in moving its embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem is a dark history of Israeli-Zionist dominance over Palestinian lands when Muslim countries are under the thumb of the US which causes sectarian conflicts to divide the unity of Muslims and divert their focus from fighting for the freedom of Palestine," he said in a statement Tuesday.

Abdul Hadi said Muslims must rise up comprehensively to defend Jerusalem and pray for the freedom of the Palestinian people so that they will not surrender even though the attitude of some Arab countries was disappointing.
