Parrot predicts France to win Euro 2016

CHON BURI, July 9 (TNA) -- An intelligent Macaw parrot living in the Khao Kheow Open Zoo in the eastern province of Chon Buri has predicted France would be the champion of Euro 2016. The Khao Kheow Open Zoo has brought colours to the UEFA European Championship 2016 season, in which is the host this year, by asking a male Macaw parrot named "JR" to predict the winner for the year. The parrot has become famous since he was told to be able to name the winner of the Euro football championships and World cup in 2010, 2012, and 2014. For this year, JR was put on thr stage to show off his talents, during which the zoo officials had put name signs of this year's Euro 2016 finalists; Portugal and France, for JR to pick. Both teams are set to kick off the final match on Sunday, in France. The smart bird chose France amid the cheering of children who were present to meet him. The aim of the activity is to show off JR's talents and to create liveliness for the Euro 2016 final match. The zoo has no intention of encouraging any gambling of any kind. (END)
