Participants in Int’l Quran Contest to meet with Supreme Leader

Tehran, May 22, IRNA – Contenders and jury panel members of Iran’s 32nd International Holy Quran Competition will meet with the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei on Friday. Iran’s Quranic figures and personalities as well as the organizers of the competition will also be present at the meeting. During the meeting, Head of Iran’s Awqaf and Charity Affairs Organization Hojj. Ali Mohammadi will present a report on the organization of the international Quran competition. Also, winners of the recitation and memorization categories, Mohammad Mehdi Rajabi and Hassan Danesh will recite verses from the Noble Quran. Iran’s 32nd International Quran Competition kicked off here in Tehran on Friday, May 15, with the participation of 120 Quran reciters and memorizers from 75 countries. It will come to a close on Friday evening, May 22, at the awarding ceremony, which is to be attended by Iran’s Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani, IQNA reported.
