Passport services temporarily provided at Bangkok's Queen Sirikit National Convention Center

BANGKOK, February 10 (TNA) - The Thai Ministry of Foreign Affairs' Department of Consular Affairs has started issuing passports at Bangkok's Queen Sirikit National Convention Center temporarily, as anti-government protesters have seized its headquarters on Chaeng Wattana Road. Passport seekers began queueing up at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center before dawn on Monday, but staffs of the department started handing out queue cards at 6am and all 600 queue cards were distributed at 8am. Many passport seekers were, thus, told to return early Tuesday morning. Monday's passport issuance process started at 8:30am and all 600 passports should have been issued later in the day.(TNA)
