PCOM Urges International Community To Pressure Israel To End Aggression On Palestine

KUALA LUMPUR, July 11 (Bernama) -- The Palestinian Cultural Organisation Malaysia (PCOM) Friday urged the international community to exert pressure on the Israeli government to end new aggression on the Palestinians. PCOM, in a statement here, said it was high time for the international community to prosecute Israeli leaders for their war crimes. "We believe that the Israeli government launched this aggression exploiting the current break in the regional situation to escape from its internal political crises and to foil the internal Palestinian reconciliation that was recently accomplished," said the statement. PCOM also called on all Palestinian factions to stand united against the Israeli aggression to foil its attempts to undermine the Palestinian national unity. "The right of any occupied people to resist foreign occupation is a legitimate right guaranteed by international laws and norms. Palestinian resistance by all means is no exception to this," said the statement. PCOM also called on media oulets to objectively cover the aggression and expose the Israeli crimes against the Palestinians. Under wane pretexts, Israel has launched its aggression on the Palestinians killing over 85 Palestinian civilians and injuring over 700 since Ramadan and the number was still growing. -- BERNAMA
