PDRM And POLRI Hold Meeting In Sebatik Thursday

TAWAU (Sabah, Malaysia), March 20 (Bernama) -- The Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) and the Republic of Indonesia Police (POLRI) held a closed-door discussion on board a PDRM ship in Sungai Haji Kuning, Sebatik, near here, Thursday. Sabah Police deputy commissioner Malik Harun said in the one-hour meeting, the topics discussed included trans-border crimes that needed to be given serious attention both by PDRM and POLRI and to take action on them. However, he refused to comment further when asked by reporters and said the meeting went well and smoothly. He said this in a brief press conference after the meeting ended, here. Malik represented the PDRM while the Indonesian police were represented by East Kalimantan police chief, Inspector General Andayono. Also present were Sabah CID chief Salehhudin Abd Rahman and several senior police officials from the Sabah Police Contingent Headquarters. -- BERNAMA
