People in Buriram gather to form shape of ancient temple

BANGKOK, Oct 22 (TNA) - Over 10,000 people in Buriram pay tribute to late King Bhumibol Adulyadej who died last week by forming the shape of Prasat Phanom Rung, an ancient Khmer temple. Mourners on Friday gathered at the Monument of King Rama I for the special event in remembrance of the king who had worked hard to improve people’s livelihood. Headed by Governor Anusorn Kaewkangwan, they observed a moment of silence for nine minutes and sang the Royal Anthem to honor the ninth king of the Chakri Dynasty. The King is most recognized for his numerous rural development projects around the kingdom during the 70-years reign. (TNA)
