People with Disabilities Pay Respects to Late King

BANGKOK, Oct 19 (TNA) - A group of visually impaired students pay their respects to the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej and pledged to follow the king’s the guidance. Students from northeastern provinces on Tuesday gathered at Khon Kaen provincial hall where thousands of people have come to pay tribute and respects to the king. Accompanied by teachers and staffers of a foundation for the blinds, the students expressed their gratitude towards the king’s love and work for the Thai people. They said they would cherish and heed the king’s numerous teachings. In Songkhla, a group of people with disabilities went to the provincial hall to show their respects to the beloved monarch. Winai Kwanpan, the group leader, said they were deeply gratified by His Majesty’s works to improve people’s livelihood. Millions of mourners have paid tribute for the late king of Thailand who passed away on Thursday. Since the king died on Thursday, people have travelled to government offices to sign book of condolences and paying respect in front of His Majesty’s portrait. From October 28 the public will be allowed to pay respects to His Majesty the King in front of his royal urn inside the Grand Palace’s Dusit Maha Prasat Throne Hall after 15 days of daily royal prayers.
