People warned to beware of new flu H2N3 strain

CHIANG MAI, January 25 (TNA) - People in Thailand, namely those in the North, have been warned to beware of and to prevent themselves from any, probably, outbreak of the new H2N3 flu strain, which is spreading in the United States. The warning was issued by the public health office in Thailand's northern resort Chiang Mai province on Friday, saying that there will be, probably, reports on patients of the new flu over the next 30 days, carried by infected tourists from the United States. Dr. Wattana Karnchanakamol, chief of Chiang Mai's public health office, said, however, that people should not panic, as any outbreak of the H2N3 virus could be prevented by maintaining their good health and hygiene, through consuming well-cooked food, using middle spoons, always keeping their hands clean and exercising regularly. Dr. Wattana particularly advised children and the elderly, along with those with congenital diseases, to be extra careful of their health for the time being. (TNA)
