Persian calligraphy painting offered to Dutch royal collection

Tehran, May 25, IRNA – Iran's Ambassador to The Hague Alireza Kazemi offered a calligraphy painting work that reads poetry verses of the prominent 14-century Persian poet, Hafiz, to the Netherlands' king. At a special ceremony where he also presented his credentials, the newly-appointed ambassador offered the calligraphy painting to King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands. Iran's embassy said that the "magnificent" artistic work was dedicated to the royal collection of the Netherlands, and wished that the relations between the two countries would be strengthened. An explanation was also presented on the art of Persian calligraphy which was appreciated by the King. The work, titled as "Visit", was a poetic verse of Hafiz, created by Hossein Fadaei, an Iranian young artist. Follow us on Twitter @IrnaEnglish
