Phu Kradueng national park closes during rainy season

LOEI, June 6 (TNA) – The Phu Kradueng National Park in the northeastern province of Loei has closed for four months from June 1 to September 30 to allow the nature to restore itself. Before the closure, the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) and the Phu Kradueng National Park organizes the garbage collection and tree planting activities, participated by about 200 volunteers. However, the waterfall at the foot of the mountain and the national park office remain opened. Each year, almost 100,000 tourists climb the Phu Kradueng mountain top, about 1,288 metres above the sea level for camping and enjoying the scenic view of the pine forest, maple trees and sea of fog. The national park will reopen for tourists for camping on the mountain top on October 1. (TNA)
