Phuket airport’s domestic terminal to undergo renovation

BANGKOK, Oct 30 (TNA) – Phuket International Airport is set to start revamping its domestic passenger terminal on Nov 1 following the recent opening of a new international one, said the Phuket Airport Director Monrudee Gettuphan said. On Sept 16, Phuket International Airport opened a brand-new international passenger terminal, boosting the airport’s annual passenger capacity to 12.5 million from 6.5 million. The old terminal will be renovated to be used for domestic flights. The renovation project involving facility upgrade is expected to be completed in 330 days. She added that the airport has adopted security measures and reorganized the traffic system in the airport. Direction signs have been provided for passenger convenience. (TNA)
