Pilot injured during aerial training in Thai Northeast

LOEI, THAILAND, February 15 (TNA) - A pilot was injured after being ejected from an Alpha Jet during a training flight in Thailand's northeastern Loei Province on Wednesday afternoon. The injured second pilot of the military aircraft, Squadron Leader Sukhothia Somsrisai of Wing 23 in Udon Thani Province in the Thai Northeast, fell down to a para rubber plantation in Loei's Muang District and was sent to a local hospital. However, the first pilot could control the aircraft to return to his base in Udon Thani safely. Meanwhile, Royal Thai Air Force Spokesman Air Vice Marshal Pongsak Semachai told journalists that the injured pilot has been hospitalized and he is now safe. According to the spokesman, the cause of the incident remains unknown and is being probed by a team of investigators. (TNA)
