Pirated goods seized at Thai border market

SA KAEO, THAILAND, June 28 (TNA) - Thai authorities have detected and seized thousands of pirated caps at a border market in the Thai East. The operation by a combined force of Thai immigration police, soldiers and provincial officials was conducted on Friday at the Rong Kluea Market and the adjacent Golden Gate Market in Aranyaprathet area of the eastern Sa Kaeo Province, bordering Cambodia. The Thai combined force went to inspect the markets earlier in the day and found a shop selling the over 3,000 pirated hats to locals and tourists. The Thai force then seized the pirated caps labeled with wellknown brands, worth over 300,000 baht, and sent them to the legal division of the Aranyaprathet customs office for its futher procedures. The authorities told reporters that they were also tracking down the Cambodian trader of the shop, who had sneaked off the back door of the shop, for prosecution. (TNA)
