Planes to land safely at Somali airport thanks to project of TIKA

MOGADISHU (A.A) – January 31, 2012 – Planes will land safely at international airport in Somali capital of Mogadishu thanks to a project launched by the Turkish Cooperation & Coordination Agency Administration (TIKA). Speaking to AA correspondent, TIKA project engineer Celalettin Gungenci said that TIKA started to install wire fence and build wall around the Aden Abdullah International Airport in Mogadishu to prevent uncontrolled entrances. Gungenci said they aimed to complete installation of wire fence and building wall around the airport in the first week of March. Planes could land at the airport more safely and uncontrolled entrances would be prevented with this project, he said.
