PM boosts morale of women’s volleyball team

BANGKOK, May 22 (TNA) -- Despite the loss and failure to qualify for the upcoming 2016 Rio Olympic Games by the Thai women’s national volleyball team, Prime Minister Gen Prayut Chan-ocha on Sunday boosted the spirit of the team, saying that the Thai people are proud of its members, according to a government spokesman Maj Gen Sansern Kaewkamnerd. Maj Gen Sansern said Gen Prayut on behalf of the Thai people admired all the players, coach and members of women’s national volleyball team who had devoted and played well in the FIVB Volleyball Women's World Olympic Qualification tournmant in Japan. Although Thai people feel sad that the volleyball team failed to play in the Olympic Games, they are never disappointed in the team as the players represent Thailand in which people will always remember, the spokesman quoted the prime minister as saying. Youngsters should respect their discipline and sportsmanship, Gen Prayut was quoted as saying. Every player and members of the team should not loose heart while the people should unite in cheering players from every country participating in the upcoming Olympics in Brazil. (TNA)
