PM meets Thailand Team in New York

BANGKOK, September 25 (TNA) - Prime Minister General Prayut Chan-ocha has first met Thailand Team in New York during his ongoing visit to the United States, scheduled for September 24-30, to attend the UN General Assembly 2015. After arriving in New York at about 10:45am on September 24 (local time) and receiving a warm welcome by Thai Permanent Representative to the United Nations Virachai Plasai and his wife, as well as a group of Thai people there, the Thai premier then chaired a meeting with Thailand Team in the United States at the One UN New York Hotel, during which Thai Ambassador to the United States Pisan Manawapat reported that US-Thai relations have been developing well and cooperation between both allied nations in various areas, including education, commerce, military and security, is about to reach its normal level after the Thai military took over national administration in mid-2014. At the meeting, the Thai prime minister also presented his government's policies to the Thailand Team. The Thailand Team in the United States consists of 82 members, including 65 civil servants and 17 military officers. (TNA)
