PM Najib Has Audience With Emir Of Qatar

KUALA LUMPUR, July 31 (Bernama) -- Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak (left) had an audience with the Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani (right) here Friday. Najib and the Qatari monarch discussed efforts to strengthen ties between Malaysia and Qatar, and other issues of mutual concern. This is the first visit for Sheikh Tamim, 35, to Malaysia after becoming the Emir of Qatar in June 2013. He is in Kuala Lumpur in conjunction with the 128th Session of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre opened by Najib Thursday night. (photoBERNAMA) --BERNAMA
