PM praises first Thai female conqueror of Mt Everest

BANGKOK, May 24 (TNA) - Prime Minister General Prayut Chan-ocha has congratulated a dentist on becoming the first Thai woman conquering Mount Everest, the world's highest mountaintop. Government Spokesman Major General Sansern Kaewkamnerd told journalists on Tuesday that the prime minister not only congratulated the Thai female dentist, Dr. Napassaporn Chamnarnsit, but also praised her for showing her loyalty to His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej by displaying His Majesty's portrait once she reached the peak of the Mt. Everest on May 19. The spokesman quoted the prime minister as saying that Dr. Napassaporn's conquering the Mt. Everest showed her strength both physically and mentally, as well as her strong determination to achieve her goal. According to the spokesman, the prime minister also gave his moral support to the first Thai female conqueror of the Mt. Everest and all members of her team who were behind her success last week, wishing them to all return home safely. (TNA)
