Baghdad / NINA /- Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi received Mittja Skofer, the Vatican Ambassador in Baghdad. During the meeting, they discussed arrangements for the scheduled visit of His Holiness Pope Francis to Iraq next month. The media office of the prime minister said: "Al-Kadhimi met today, Sunday, Mittja Skofer, the Vatican ambassador in Baghdad. During the meeting, arrangements for the planned visit of His Holiness Pope Francis to Iraq next month were discussed." The Prime Minister affirmed: "The visit of His Holiness the Pope will contribute to consolidating stability and spreading the spirit of brotherhood in Iraq and throughout the region, and that His Holiness's efforts are witnessed around the world in reducing conflicts, giving priority to wisdom and reason and raising the value of Man, above all political interests, conflicts and wars." Al-Kadhimi added, "Iraq, government and people of all sects and mutually supportive colors, look forward with welcome and reverence to this honorable visit, and amplify the efforts of His Holiness in supporting the right causes, confronting extremism and spreading the spirit of tolerance in all humanity."
