PM visits Thai East

RAYONG, THAILAND, July 20 (TNA) - Prime Minister General Prayut Chan-ocha is visiting Rayong Province in the Thai East to follow up the implementation of his government's policies and meet local fruit growers. Accompanied by his entourage, the prime minister departed from Bangkok for Rayong via a helicopter on Monday morning. After his arrival in Rayong, the prime minister was first briefed on local fruit business and then delivered his policies at the Tapong Fruit Market in Muang District, inspected the market and met local fruit growers. The prime minister is scheduled to visit Kamnoetvidya Science Academy in Wang Chan District in the afternoon to be briefed on its goals, concepts and operations and to recommend policies for the school. The prime minister is also scheduled to visit Vidyasirimedhi Institute and then board his helicopter back to Bangkok. Meanwhile, General Wilas Arunsri, Secretary-General to the Prime Minister, told journalists that both the Kamnoetvidya Science Academy and Vidyasirimedhi Institute open for students with excellent performances who are selected to obtain government scholarships. General Wilas said the prime minister wants to inspect the management of the two educational institutes to be applied to other schools later. (TNA)
